Now you can completely change the gameplay to Hardcore, while changing the structure of your game.

Changes:
* All damage to the truck components has been reduced to 10. One major malfunction can mean that your delivery is over. So be even more careful when you cross the terrain. This includes (engine, suspension, gearbox, wheels and tank)
* The winch length is significantly reduced. I reduced the length of all winches by 50%. This will make planning your route even more important.
* Reduced fuel supply for all trucks. The fuel tank limit of each truck is reduced by 50%. Purchasing a fuel trailer for those long journeys will be almost necessary. Take it easy on Diff Lock and AWD
* Prices for trucks have doubled, which means that the next purchase you need to think carefully (Add-ons and improvements were not affected)
* The weather has been slightly changed. Heavy Rain is now much denser and falls faster to provide a bit more realism. Changed and Light Rain, but only the size of the drops. This should provide a bit more driving problems
* The exhaust smoke has been slightly increased

Installation Instructions:
– Just replace the initial.pak source file with my modified initial.pak file
– You can find this initial.pak at: “SnowRunner \ en_us \ preload \ paks \ client”
– Important: Please do not forget to backup the “initial.pak” file so that you can return to the unchanged game

This upgrades is to make this the ultimate Scout Car with as much options as possible, so the player could choose what they want from store.

The mod should work with subscribe and activation in mod section in the game, manual installation shouldn’t be needed.

How to install:
– Copy files inside Archive (out_reverase sound) into Your Game location – (Your local disk)\Epic Games\SnowRunner\en_us\preload\paks\client
– Then open archive “Shared_sound.pak” (using Winrar/winzip or any other archive opener) and open sound\trucks and overwrite existing files inside it

Note:
– First make a Backup of “trucks” (must make)
– If you have any issues inside the game after installing this mod, copy above backup files to “(Your local disk)\Epic Games\SnowRunner\en_us\preload\paks\client\Shared_sound.pak\sound\ and remove existing “Trucks” folder

Changes Fuel Tank Sizes to make it more Realistic

Instaliation:

From the beginning, in the Chevrolet CK1500, I felt something was weird with the steering.

Playing with an xbox360 pad, I couldn’t steer a little. Moving the stick slightly was not making the car slightly turning and pressing it too much was driving it into a drift or spin. So I ended up doing spikes in my steering, giving small but strong hits to get small steering moves and constantly correcting.

And what acted on the Chevy became more obvious with bigger trucks : slight stick moves was not acting before I stayed on this position long enough and then the truck was over-acting running into drift.

So I tried a few parameters before finding the most obvious : Responsiveness.
And all of a sudden, eveything became smooth and clean.

No more lag or dead-zone effect, no more spikes needed to do slight steering adjustments, a very small stick moves was translating into a very gentle truck direction adjustement. I could now drive long gentle curves keeping my finger pushing very slowly on the stick without over-reactions of the trucks. It was so much enjoyable and particulary with heavy trailers on road where steering must be as soft as possible. Night and day.

So this mod corrects responsiveness of each truck and as there’s a file per truck, you can correct one or all the trucks you want. As I said I play the game with a pad and I wonder if this would suit or improve driving with a wheel. I would be interested if wheel drivers could report their experience.

In my case, I really enjoy the game at a higher level. I hope you will too.
