[Snowrunner] – Kamaz 6345 Arctic v 1.4

Date June 10, 2020 13:26

Version 1.4:
Additions:
-Functional rear cabin beacons
-Roof rack attachment
-Cabin protector option

Fixes:
-Suspension tweaks and spotlight unlock correction

Background: Few vehicles offer less utility than the Azov 42-20 Antarctic and fewer still can match the level of disappointment suffered by most after realizing the final vehicle unlock was surpassed by nearly every other platform–if there were any roles the Azov 42-20 could perform, there were at least 6 other platforms which could do the same task more efficiently. The value proposition for the Azov 42-20 was nonexistent.

The KAMAZ-6345 Arctic received the following changes:
Name change to reflect the real-world vehicle
High and low saddle attachments
Choice of 4 suspensions heights
73″ wheel options
Mass reduced from 27,000 kg to 16,000 kg to mirror IRL weight
Utilizes the LAZ-8 T260, LAZ-8 T290, and IMZ-8 330-T engines; “B+, A-, A” power-to-weight rating respectively (same engine as the Tayga)
The reduction in mass and the new powerplants provides the KAMAZ with best-in-class fuel economy (even when paired with the off-road gearbox)
Center of gravity adjusted to prevent rollovers (from “1.0, -1.0, 0” to “1.0, -0.6, 0”)
Wider stance; from “0” to “0.15”
Note: The combination of a slightly wider stance and the change to COG provides greater stability than the ANK Mk 38 / raised Paystar (see attached images for approximate tipping point)
Unlockable at level 1

To reflect the additional capabilities, the vehicle price has been increased to ~$185k.

Installation:
Click to subscribe. This will not replace the original Azov 42-20; look for a separate “KAMAZ-6345 Arctic” listing in the RU truck store.

Disclaimers & Limitations:
This mod was intended for installation via subscribe; if you are installing manually and have other manually installed mods, conflicts will most likely occur; I cannot help troubleshoot.
I have not tested this in MP; my assumption is it will not work unless all parties have the mod installed and / or have updated the vehicle within the initial.pak file
Raised trailers are highly recommended (especially for raised suspension and larger tires)

[Snowrunner] – Actual Weight for Trailers v 2.0

Date June 10, 2020 13:18

This mod do not modify any truck or addon. Just trailers
Do you ever ask why your little K1500 can haul a oil tank trailer like is nothing?

Well turns out that every trailer (except the scout ones) are very light. so i add a bunch of weight to every trailer.
Now if you are going too fast and then you stop or turn without slowing down, the trailer will drag you out and posibbly tip the truck or worse.
You will need a super heavy truck to move super heavy cargo with ease, or even to be able to move it.

Version 1.0:
Added weight to trailers
Disclaimer: all the values are approximated, said values come from google and my own knowledge.
Scout trailers: weight unchanged
trailers: from 500 kg-1.500 kg to 7.100 kg
Semi trailers: from 2.000 kg to 9.100 kg
Heavy contruction equipment: from 12.000 kg to 36.200 kg (aprox)
oil tank trailer: from 2.500 kg to 17.100 kg (10.000 kg are from 12.000 L of fuel)
oil tank semi trailer: from 7.000 kg to 26.100 kg (17.000 kg are from 20.000 L fuel)
oil tank heavy semi trailer: from 10.500 kg to 40.000+ kg (30.000 kg are from 38.000 L of fuel)
Service trailer: from 1.500 kg to 9.100 kg, repair parts and wheels increased (X2)
Oil rig semi trailer: from 12.000 kg to 42.000+ kg
M747 semi trailer: from 500 kg to 9.100 kg
Coiled turbine semi trailer: from 10.000 kg to 35.000 kg

Version 1.1
Fixes to the oil rig semi trailer:
-added wheels on the center (if your trailer leg bugs out, they will help supporting the falling trailer, and give you a chance to correct it with a heavy crane)
-added more force to the legs (now they will be able to lift the trailer)
Added more force to the cranes (all of them) 3 times more aprox (credist to ryankary12 for the big crane force values)
Added more weight to the big cranes from 2.000 kg to 10.000 kg, now the trucks shouldn’t move as much when moving trailers

Installation and backup guide:
Make sure, you have WinRAR installed! No installation with subscribing as with all mods around here, that change base game files.

Manual installation:
Download the file
Navigate to the path you have SnowRunner installed to
Follow the folders: SnowRunneren_uspreloadpaksclient
Create a folder called ‘Backup’ to save your original file.
Copy the file ‘initial.pak’ into that Backup folder. Now you are ready to install the mod!
Open the original file ‘initial.pak’ with WinRAR.
Open the mod-file ‘(mod file)’ with WinRAR, as well.
Now drag and drop the [media]-folder from the mod-zip-file into ‘initial.pak’.
The files in ‘initial.pak’ will be overwritten.
Close everything and you can start playing.
If you don’t like it and want to revert: Navigate back to your installation folder and delete the edited ‘initial.pak’. Then copy the original file from your ‘Backup’-folder, and everything is vanilla again.

(Instructions copied from Fuel capacities based on real data mod page)

Since the weights are up i recommend the MOAR POWAAAAAAA mod, and the Fuel capacities based on real data mod (you are going to need the extra fuel).
This three mods combined add a little more complexity to the haul business and also ease some mechanics that are not really fun (not for me at least) like the constant need to check the fuel.

[Snowrunner] – Actual Weight for Cargo v 1.1

Date June 10, 2020 13:16

To use in combined with Actual weight for trailers.

The same as the other mod, the cargo was heavily underweighted, not as much as the trailers but lighter nontheless.

2 or 3 cargos remain unchanged because they have a reasonable weight

don’t be surprised explorers can’t move loaded trailers at all on any terrain other than asphalt
Bags full of cement and bricks are actually pretty heavy

Version 1.1
Rolled metal: up to to 8.000 kg, was 2500 kg (Please note that trucks usually carry at most 3 rolls)
Drill: down to 10.000 kg, was 16.000 (a bit overweighted)

Version 1.0
Bags of cement: from 1.500 kg to 4.320 kg (there are 144 bags of cement, 30 kg each)
Barrels (oli/fuel/etc): from 1.000 kg to 4.000 kg (16 barrels of 250 kg)
Big drill : from 8.000 kg to 16.000 kg (i think it’s overweighted, may correct later)
Bricks: from 1.000 kg to 4.500 kg (1920 bricks, 2,34 kg each)
Concrete blocks: from 1.500 kg to 5.760 kg (2,4 m3 of concrete)
Concrete slabs: from 3.000 kg to 11.520 kg (4.8 m3 of concrete)
Container: from 2.000 kg per slot to 3.250 kg per slot
Crates (food/parts/ect) : 2.500 kg (unchanged)
Metal planks: from 1.500 kg to 8.200 kg (lots of calculus here, not worth the hussle to write it down)
Metal roll: from 1.000 kg to 2.500 kg to match similars (i actually don’t know what is this cargo)

[Snowrunner] – IHC Loadstar 1700 4×4 v 1.1

Date June 10, 2020 13:10

I just couldn’t get past the wet fart engine noises! Traded them for another old sound.. the White Western Star ws4964.

Added MinicraneRU
300L of fuel
Pickup bed: 200L Fuel, 250 Repair points, 4 wheels
Service Body: 750 Repair Points

There are two raised suspensions: The minicrane is very heavy for the 1700 so it gets its own suspension. On the other hand, the Minicrane RU is about half the weight of the US variant so pick your poison!

Soft suspension for Scouting and trailers
Firm suspension for the Minicrane US/RU and heavy loads
Minimal work/tuning everywhere else.

These are my personal touches to the trucks I use. Simply uploading here to get around the initial.pak file getting overwritten. Might as well make them public.
